Softball Meeting                      There will be an important softball meeting for those prospective softball players today at 7:45am in HL1. The new softball coach, Ashley Thomas, will be there!

Financial Aid Night @ Hilhi     Learn how to pay for college for your student on our Financial Aid Night being held Dec. 18th at 6:30pm in the Hilhi Library.

Band & Cross Country

Fundraiser                               Hilhi Band students and the Cross Country team join forces to sell Christmas trees through the weekend of December 23rd. The lot is located at 209th & TV Highway (21075 SW TV Highway) on the north side across from Harvey Marine. ALL trees, regardless of height, will be $15. Stand operations will be Friday's (1pm - 9pm), Saturday's and Sunday's (9am-9pm). 

 

New Totem Sculpture              Come and check out the sculpture garden east of the Creative Arts Building - ceramics students just finished installing a new totem sculpture, each inspired by a different contemporary ceramic artist. 

 

Online Literary Magazine        The literary magazine staff is still searching for more submissions. Please send questions and all items for submission to Mr. Alan Whinery (LA8) or Mr. Jeff Hollamon (LA5). 

 

Grad Night Party Info               Grad Night Party participants meet the first Monday of each month. Everyone is welcome to either come to find out what is going on or contribute to the discussions and planning. To help out, contribute ideas or find out more, email Rachelle Carnes at rachellecarnes at comcast.net <mailto:rachellecarnes at comcast.net>  or call at 503-615-0733.

 

The cost is $50 to sign up for the Grad Night Party and students/parents can make out a check to Hilhi Grad Party and put it in the Grad Night Party Mailbox in the Admin. faculty lounge. (No tickets will be issued this year...names are put on a list.) 

 

                                                Newsletter information: 

Attention Senior Parents - The grad night committee continues to encourage all senior parents to participate in putting together this memory making experience for your senior. They can help in many ways: Chaperoning on the 

                                                night of the grad night party (June 6th), planning and supervising one of the fund-raising activities, helping with a fund-raising activity, making a contribution of cash or prizes to the committee for the party and showing up to the meetings to help with the overall planning and preparation. The more people we have helping the better this party will be!

 

Rummage sale                        Hang on to those unwanted items because we will be holding a Hilhi Grad Night Party Rummage Sale on March 15th. 

 

Snowboarders/Skiers              If your student is planning to go to Meadows for the January session with the Hillsboro Ski Club, the registration deadline for January 2008 session is December 19th. Visit the website at hillsboroskiclub.us for reservation forms. Remember, the deadline is December 19th or you will be charged $20 extra by Meadows for late registration.
